Advanced attributes let you control access to your files through Anywhere Links. By default an anywhere link is open to all. This means whoever gains access to your anywhere link has access to the linked file. this mode is perfect for links embedded in web pages and passed along to friends and family.

In some cases though you may wish to limit access to your file. Advanced attributes let you do that by enabling password protection, hiding (disabling the link), marking as copyrighted and limiting the link to a one time access.

Anywhere Attributes are accessed through the Anywhere Web interface. After you've logged into your account you can access the advanced attributes through the 'folder update' window. This is accessed by clicking on the yellow folder icon. With the window open select the file whose link you are interested in modifying then click on the 'advanced' button. You'll see the attribute selection window.

Note: Make sure popups are enabled for our website to let the 'folder update' window open.

Private

All files stored on anywhere servers have this attribute set by default. This attribute means file is private and not visible outside your account unless you share or give access to it via anywhere link.

Anywhere It!

Make your file visible to all anywhere users and the web at large. This feature is under development.

Locked

Lock your anywhere link with the password. This way every time someone accesses your file via anywhere link that person has to supply a password in order to gain access to the file. To unlock the file and delete the password select the reset button.

Copyrighted

Marking your file 'copyrighted' ensures that your file can't be distributed illegally via anywhere link. In coming months Anywhere Enterprises will release further enhancements to the 'Copyrighted' attribute.

Hide

Hide your anywhere link when you don't want anyone to have access to your file(s) via link or through sharing.

Sell

Marking your file for 'sell' lets you set the price, attach description and optional picture. We'll handle all the transaction details and notify you when the sale took place. It's great and easy way to sell digital media. Contact us for more details.

Random

Every time download via "random" link is requested, Anywhere will choose file at random in the specified folder. It is perfect for displaying pictures or play media clips from your folders at random. Use Anywhere Explorer to generate random links.
